WHAT IS WICKEDPAD?
WickedPad is a very simple online scratchpad that will keep your notes.
FREE? -Yes, free. And, if you are like us, you have a tough time believing anything is free. Well good for you for being skeptical...while WickedPad is free, it is paid for by advertisers. Their goal is to actually get us all to buy their stuff. So we had a fun idea, what if the ads actually were directed at us?
What if the ads were targeted based on useful words you happen to type? Yeah, yeah, this can sound real scary, big brother even. But consider our method. The advertisers need to tell us words they're looking for, like "Birthday" and "Laundry," all we do is direct the best ad to the person that happens to use a word they want to market to. You can actually have fun with this, type up a list of words, and see what ads you get.
Privacy
Your privacy is of course imperative to us. In fact, we keep our own data in this system as well, so we would not do anything with our customer's data we would not do with our own. |
EASY - You don't even need to sign in to start using WickedPad, just type some stuff, and the next time you go to WickedPad your text will be there. But this is not secure, since we simply store a cookie on your computer. If you want to be able to get your data from anywhere in the world, and even from your cell phone, you need to sign up.
TOUR - This is like giving a tour of a one room apartment, you sort of passed the interesting stuff out on the main page. But just in case it was not clear... you simply type stuff, and WickedPad will automatically save whatever you type whenever you stop typing.
